Dancing Through Movement – 4 week Trapeze Series with McKinley Campos
- Dates: Sundays starting February 23rd – March 15th, 3 pm- 4 pm
- Cost: $100 for the 4 weeks
- Minimum of 6 students required; class size maximum of 8
For this series, you will focus on the ability to dance through movement so it breaks away from the technical execution of the move and looks different from that of your peers. McKinley will guide you through different steps, progressions, and exercises to help enhance your ability to dance through movement for creative expression. Dancing through movement is important because it helps you express concepts, ideas, feelings, etc. But before you can express those ideas and flush them out, you need to work on moving in a way that says something.
Prerequisites: All levels are welcome but you should have a solid foundation of comfort and familiarity with the dance trapeze. Come with a simple sequence or two in mind to use throughout the class. Please bring a pen & notebook (or however you take notes) and something to take video (phone, tablet, go pro, etc).
Note: 4 dance trapezes will be rigged for this class, allowing ample time up in the air for all students.
